Available Funding Programs
Canadian businesses have access to some of the most generous technology adoption funding in the world. Here are the key programs.
IRAP
Up to 80% of eligible costsThe Industrial Research Assistance Program funds R&D and innovation projects. If your AI implementation involves custom development or technical experimentation, IRAP can cover a significant portion of costs including consulting, salaries, and contractor fees.
Eligibility: Incorporated Canadian SME, 500 or fewer employees
SR&ED Tax Credits
15-35% of eligible expendituresThe Scientific Research and Experimental Development program provides tax credits for businesses conducting R&D in Canada. AI development, workflow automation experimentation, and custom tool building often qualifies. CCPCs can claim 35% on the first $3M of eligible expenditures.
Eligibility: Any Canadian business conducting eligible R&D activities
BDC Financing
Up to $350,000The Business Development Bank of Canada offers small business loans specifically designed for technology adoption and digital transformation. Competitive rates with flexible repayment terms tailored to your business growth.
Eligibility: Canadian-owned business, operating for 1+ years
CDAP (Currently Closed)
Was up to $15,000 grant + $100,000 loanThe Canada Digital Adoption Program closed to new applications in 2025. It provided grants for digital adoption plans and interest-free BDC loans for implementation. A successor program may be announced in future federal budgets. We monitor for updates and will notify clients when new funding becomes available.
